silly boy

I love my happy silly boy!
he picked this hat up and said "look Mommy I'm wearing my Grandfather's hat"
where he comes up with this stuff I do not know

with temps in the 70's we had to make a zoo trip
I feel like you can tell that gorillas are intelligent just by their facial expressions

 "cheese"

On a more personal side note, my pregnancy is going along smoothly! We had a dr. appointment this week and all is on track. Well that is except for my weight gain...the nightly bowl of ice-cream and cookies and chocolate throughout the day caught up to me quick. haha.. I had gained 12 pounds since my last visit. You're only supposed to gain about 1 pound a week and I more then doubled that. I'm not overly worried, just a tad bit shocked when I saw the number on the scale. I'm going to try and be lots more aware of how much junk food I eat, so hopefully my weight gain will be more "on track." I've been doing a lot of yummy baking as well, which I think I'm going to try and cut down on. But if not....oh well, haha!

In much more exciting news, I'll be in my 3rd trimester in just 2 weeks! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to hold this baby boy in my arms! Soooo Excited!!!! May couldn't come any sooner!

snow, baby belly, roses & building

Landon's 1st Snowman!
Ethan totally gets the father-of-the-year award for this!
Monday morning Father and son had created this "baby Carter" snowman,
had a snowball fight,
& the driveway was cleared all by 7:20AM!
Landon has been dying to build a snowman all winter and Ethan didn't want me to have to go out in the cold, so he took care of it before he left for work.
I SO love him!

25 weeks!
this little guy is so active,
I have a feeling he will have no problem keeping up with his big brother

Roses!

 My love is so thoughtful,
not only did he give me some gorgeous flowers to say "I love you!"
but hopefully I'll be able to keep them alive,
for long term enjoyment
I love having live plants in my home!

Building...
I was washing all the sheets in the house, so he went around and collected blankets and pillows to build his very own house.
How can you not just ADORE this face!
i love my family!

Happy Valentine's Day! xoxo

the month of love

Today Landon and I decided that we needed to put up some decorations.
I love February!
and yes I do realize that Valentine's is spelt wrong and as much as I would like to blame it on the 3-year-old who did all the stamping...
he was following what I had written on a paper for him to copy. :)
We had fun with this project, Landon is really big into having me spell all sorts of words out for him, so he enjoyed being able to do some spelling himself.

Sunday nap
These two are too alike!
They both fell asleep,
little man while being read to,
Daddy while reading
Too precious for words!

This sweet boy has taken naps in Mommy's lap for the past 2 days.
"Mommy, I want to sit on your lap"
approx. 2 minutes later he's out cold!
I love that he is still such a cuddle bug
I know it won't last forever,
so I ignore the aches and numbness that comes with holding a child his size
 for close to two hours,
its worth every bit!

Love this relationship!

Hurray for the Tiger!

What a gorgeous animal!

This year marks our 4th Valentine's together, all of which have been since we've been married. 5 years ago this month my life was Very far from where it is now. In fact, if you would have told me that I would have been married just 5 months later I'm pretty sure I would have laughed, and said "yeah right!" I was very single at that time, with little luck on the boyfriend front. In fact the first time I ever "celebrated" Valentine's Day the way it is intended was 6 months after I got married. I still have moments where I look back at my engagement and think "Wow! What a Miracle!"

The greatest thing about marrying the right person is how much your love for that person grows with each year. I always knew I wanted to be a wife I just had no idea how great it would be!

I'm madly in love with the man of my dreams, who just so happens to also be my best friend, the father of my children, my eternal companion and my Husband! lucky me :)

Yep, this is a tad bit sappy, but its the month of love, so what did you expect?!

Nice Weather

I cannot believe how mild our winter has been thus far. I'm not sure what the next month will bring, but January was great!

One of the best parts about Ethan working for Cox is his work from home days. He gets one day a week and we LOVE having him home that extra day! Since we had a nice day this week we decided to have a picnic in the park!

We decided to share with the Geese and ducks as well.

It was a really fun way to spend the lunch hour!
And we had fun playing around with our camera outdoors.

The next day was even nicer, with Sunshine and temps in the mid 60s AND no wind (which is rare for us Kansans).
So Little Man and I spent the afternoon at the Zoo.

Here is his "CHEEEEEESE!" face

 Saying "Hi!" to the animals

Ok his latest thing to do outside is "draw" or "paint" in the dirt with sticks.
I think we stayed in this same spot for 20 minutes while he played and created.
I was just about as contest as could be to rest in the sunshine and watch him have fun with nature. I love that he loves being in nature as much as I do.

Ok funny story with this picture, we were stopped because Little Man was arguing with me, when this bird came right up and snatched his cheerios. I was too busy laughing and trying to calm Landon down to take any more pics. But needless to say the birds got a nice little treat of cheerios before I could snatch them back. Little Man did Not think it was in the least bit funny! haha
We had a lot of fun yesterday at the Zoo.
It was so nice to be able to just run around and stretch our legs this week, I'm ready for Spring to be here. I think it would be just peachy if Spring decided to come in February and lasted till May! Highly doubtful I know...
